8 Ways to Awaken Your Inner Power

Given the unprecedented times of turmoil that we are experiencing on an individual level as well as a global one, it is vital to awaken your own inner power and live your best life even when times are difficult.

I think this is important to remember:

There is an extraordinary capacity within each of us that allows us to do amazing things. This is the same energy that allows us to shine our unique self out into the world, and to handle any life challenge that comes our way with strength and grace.

This is our inner power.

What is Inner Power?

Firstly, Inner power refers to the strength, resilience, and potential that exists within each individual. 

It is the inner essence or energy that empowers us to overcome challenges, pursue our goals, and live a fulfilling life.

Inner power is often associated with qualities such as clarity, self-confidence, self-belief, determination, courage and self-awareness.

Lastly, It’s the warrior within you that provides the courage to take risks, embrace challenges, and persist in the face of adversity. 

What Does it Mean to Awaken it?

Awakening inner power means tapping into one’s inner resources, such as mental and emotional strength, wisdom, intuition, and creativity, to navigate life’s obstacles and pursue personal growth.

It involves recognizing and harnessing one’s innate abilities, talents, and strengths to overcome self-limiting beliefs, fears, and doubts.

Awakening inner power often involves practices such as self-reflection, mindfulness, self-care, personal development, and embracing a positive mindset. 

It is a process of connecting with one’s authentic self, aligning with personal values, and stepping into a place of personal empowerment and authenticity.

Therefore, Inner power enables individuals to make conscious choices, take ownership of their lives, and create positive change. 

 Ultimately, tapping into one’s inner power allows you to live a more purposeful, joyful, and fulfilled life.

8 Ways to Awaken Your Inner Power

1. Self Reflection and Awareness

Take time for inner self-reflection. Identify your core values, passions, strengths, and get clear on what you want to create in your life and what’s been holding you back. Additionally, take a deeper dive to understand your thoughts, emotions, and identify patterns of behavior so that you’re clear on what propels you forward and what holds you back.

2.  Practice Self-Compassion

Be kind to yourself. Show yourself compassion. This journey of life is not easy and being hard on yourself is not a supportive tactic for a smoother transition through the trials and tribulations. Treat yourself with the same love, respect, understanding, and forgiveness that you give to others. Embrace your imperfections. To be imperfect is natural. To have flaws is inherently human. You are imperfectly perfect just as you are meant to be. You are a beautiful, unique being. As a matter of fact, there is no one like you and that is your superpower.

3. Embrace Who You Are

Embrace your true self and unapologetically allow yourself to be and express who you are. Let go of societal expectations of who you should be and release the need for outside validation. Validate yourself. Celebrate your uniqueness and honor your authentic desires, beliefs, and aspirations.

4. Set Meaningful Goals

Define clear and meaningful goals that align with your core values and aspirations. Set intentions that inspire and motivate you, and break them down into actionable steps. Take consistent action towards your goals and don’t forget to celebrate each small win along the way.

5. Cultivate Greater Self Awareness

Cultivate a deeper mind-body-spirit connection by engaging in mindful practices such as yoga, journaling and meditation. As you become more aware of sensations, thoughts, and emotions that surface you will gain a greater understanding of yourself and respond better to life’s challenges.

As you move about your life, practice mindfulness and presence in your life, for your life is happening in the now.This allows a direct route to your inner power!

6. Prioritize Self Care

Prioritizing self-care to recharge and nourish yourself is vital.  Allow yourself to engage in activities that make you feel strong and capable, that bring you joy, rejuvenation and relaxation. By taking care of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being, you tap into the foundation of your inner power.

7. Embrace Growth and Cultivate Resilience

Undeniably, when we view challenges as opportunities for growth, we are less apt to get stuck. Miracles and growth happen outside of our comfort zones. Be courageous and step out of yours. Approach obstacles with a warrior’s mindset—seeing them as stepping stones towards personal transformation. When we can experience challenges and setbacks as opportunities for growth, we cultivate resilience and foster personal transformation.

8. Surround Yourself with High Vibe People

Give yourself permission to surround yourself with people who feel like sunshine. Say yes to positive and supportive individuals who uplift and inspire you. Seek out mentors, friends, or a supportive community.  Ask for help when needed.

The journey to finding your inner power is unique to you.

 It is one that requires patience, practice and a trust in the process as it unfolds. Embrace each step with curiosity and self-compassion and you will be more open to accessing your inner power.
